Tom Morrell | Director National Sales and Product Development

Tom Morrell has been a sales and marketing leader in the consumer-products goods industry for nearly 25 years.  Tom began his career with the Personal Products Division of the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies where he received extensive National brand sales experience.

Tom joined Confab (later acquired by TYCO Healthcare) in 1989.  As the Vice President of National Accounts for the food division of Confab, Tom has extensive experience and knowledge of the food class of trade at all levels. Promoted to Vice President of National Accounts for the Mass class of trade at Confab, Tom expanded his knowledge base to directly and indirectly focus his energies on developing every major Mass retailer x-Wal-Mart.

In 1999, Tom was promoted to Vice President of National Accounts Zone One and assumed complete responsibility for all aspects of managing the Wal-Mart/Sam’s Team in Bentonville.  As a top 150 supplier to Wal-Mart/Sam’s, Tom initiated Tyco Healthcare’s participation in RFID, category manager/advisor, 2-tier ordering system, co-managed inventory program, multiple modular presentations, CFRP, sustainability, store/warehouse level in-stocks, multiple supplier of the quarter awards, Wal-Mart/Vendor share group committee.

Tom joined the Swanson Group in June 2008 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of retail. Tom will be focused on Mass Retail (Wal-Mart, Target, Shopko, EMG) as well as supporting initiatives at Walgreens, SUPERVALU, and Topco.

Tom is currently a member of NACDS and PLMA.
